The house

Casa Umbra farms high vines in the Valle de Uco and bottles only Pinot Noir, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The three are fermented and bottled separately. Malbec is not one of them.

Cases go to private cellars and to restaurants by allocation. This site does not sell wine.

The umbra hour

The cordillera stands west of the rows and cuts the sun in the late afternoon. The gravel still holds the day’s heat. The fruit finishes in that shade, and the house is named for the hour.
